Dessert!

Here are the 3 (well...there were 3!) apple pies made by Rick. With all those people, there was even some left! I left it for Arnie.

Dining for the Arts at Markko Vineyard

Arnie Esterer asked if we'd join him and Dave and Nancy Genger to host a Dining for the Arts, the largest fund raiser for the Ashtabula Arts Center. The hosts provide all the food and wine, the guests pay $75 per person. The Arts Center gets it all. We had 20 guests plus the 6 "workers".The theme was Spring Lamb. We'd never cook lamb. We served leg of lamb, shoulder roasts and chops. All had different seasonings for cooking...they all were great!! One of the guests even provided live music.

It's going to be awhile before I get all the wax off of the placemats.

Spring Flowers in our Yard

After our cold and snowy winters up here in the snow belt, these spring flowers are very welcome. These are in our yard, we don't have the magnolias, forsythia, dogwood, but I couldn't find the daffodyl picture..hmm..

The rhododendron blossomed when I went to Little Rock for Laedyn's birthday.

Messy Birthday

Requesting the messy pictures?? OK, here they are. The ones of Valerie, Eric and Mark...which I do have, are well buried in old photo albums and probably in slides. Someday.... first I need the copier that will convert slides and negatives... A good winter job...

I like the way Valerie takes pictures...

Almost a baby frown..

Her hat stayed on the whole time. Prime interest was only in the cupcake, and then the yellow cake.

Bath time. She loved the hose!!
